The Silent Shitstorm No One Talks About

The Silent Shitstorm No One Talks About

But I am about to change that.

Perimenopause doesn’t knock politely. It barges in. One minute you’re smashing life, the next you’re bloated, anxious, snapping at people for breathing too loud, and wondering why your jeans don’t fit even though you’re eating less than ever.

You’re not broken. You’re just changing.

You’re nutrition is different, your hormones are chaos and you’re now, finding yourself again.

A common theme for me when i looked in the mirror, a scrunched up face. The side eye ( To myself ) questioning who the fuck am I?

If you’ve ever looked in the mirror and thought,

“What the fuck is happening to me? like I did…

Sis. Feels.

You’re not broken.

You’re not delulu.

This is where most women start doubting themselves, and it can begin as early as in your 30’s. I myself was in my 20’s.

Doctors offer vague advice, Google sends you down a scrole hole of conflicting info, and the old diet rules? They don’t work anymore. Honestly, they probably never bloody did.

Why What You Eat Actually Matters (Like, a Lot)

This season of life isn’t about six-week shreds or low-carb fads. It’s about fuelling your body like it’s the powerful, intelligent thing it is. Because when hormones shift, your nutrition has to shift too.

More protein, more often

This isn’t about chugging protein shakes. It’s about hitting that magic mark with real food—so your muscles stay strong, your hunger stays steady, and your energy doesn’t crash by 2pm.

Ditch the low-fat bullshit

Your brain, your hormones, and your mood all need healthy fats. Full-fat yoghurt, nuts, oily fish, avo don’t fear the fat, it’s bloody medicine in this stage of life.

Support your gut

Bloating isn’t something to just ‘deal with’. Peri messes with your digestion. Fibre, fermented foods, and hydration are your mates. A happy gut = smoother hormones.

Stop starving yourself FFS!

Eating less and training more isn’t the answer it’s the problem. You need fuel, not fatigue. Real meals, strength training, and rest. That’s the new holy grail.

You’re not just tired, you’re depleted

Anxiety, insomnia, ragey moods? Your nervous system is cooked. Get more magnesium, iron, B-vitamins, and proper meals in. Your mind needs food too.

After a Hysterectomy? You’re Still You But You Deserve to Heal

Recovery isn’t just stitches and bedrest. Your hormones can flatline, and your emotions feel like a rollercoaster that wasn’t as fun as when you were a kid, you want to get off that shit ASAP. You might feel disconnected from your body or like part of you is missing. That’s real. And it’s okay to feel all of it.

Nutrition here is about rebuilding, not restricting. Collagen, antioxidants, quality proteins, gut support, and stress-lowering meals that give not take from your energy.

You Deserve to Feel Like You Again

This isn’t about rules or restriction. It’s about relief. It’s about tuning back into your body, learning how to actually support it not fight it and realising you were never the problem.

You don’t need another diet.

You need food that gives a shit.

You need someone in your corner who gets it, who’s been there, and who knows how to walk you through it.

That’s what I do at She Strong. I give women the tools, the science, and the support to stop surviving and start living strong again. This space was created for you to feel safe, supported and so you can learn about all of this shamelessly, openly and get your life back.

Because you were never delulu or broken.

You were just waiting for the right support to rise.

This is your transition era.

Own that shit, because to be honest it was actually although traumatic and messy for me. The most powerful beginning to my evolution.

Love
